Are you up for 9 days with 24
strangers, 3 professional trekkers
and the mountains and jungles of
Mexico". Who would have thought that above line would change your
life or at least make aneverlasting
impression. That's exactly what
happened to us all, 24 intrepid
trekkers on a challenge through the
jungles and mountains of Mexico, undergoing extreme adrenaline rushes, exhilarations, physical and mental torture, facing the most amazing transformation of weather and a BOND we all created as we got back to the basics of life. What did I learn or get from it?, how you can all achieve a common goal put upon us by the Guides, day in day out, by helping each other without being selfish. This was the most amazing emotional and physical trip of my life, never laughed so much, never seen so many emotions and tears of joy and jubilation. Thank you to you all for making it happen. A Truly professional trek put together by Giovanni and his professional team (Thank you) and organised by Charity Challenge and Breast Cancer Campaign. |

In this trip I proved to myself that there is life after
a breast cancer. I have particularly enjoyed getting
close to the real Mexico and been humbled by the
friendliness of people who have so little. |

My worst and best memories: Worst: First day of trekking was an enlightening experience. Thought I could do anything but I was knocked around by altitude and could hardly put one foot in front of the other for the whole day. Fortunately it got better from there but I will never forget the support I got that first day. Best: The people... our fellow trekkers, our guides and everyone else that made it happen. Plus our achievements... we did stuff that seriously challenged us and we were humbled by others. It was a very special week with very special people. |

Two weeks of amazing sights. The people of the village will stay with me forever. The trek was to raise money for the breast charity in England, but the work done at the village made me think more about the conditions of the local people. A really worthwhile trip with moments of pain and laughter. I will be going home with lasting memories and friends and al least 1 stone lighter. |

Feel like I have been away from UK forever. Such a range of temperature, tempers, hats, tools and drink!!. I have seen some amazing sights and met some memorable people- from the girls in the gap to Felipe to Tubby! |

Trip of lifetime! Have met a great group of people from all different walks of life
and different experiences, humbling to meet 4 women who have battled and
overcome breast cancer and reamined so positive and up for the challenge.
Will carry
the memory of this trip with me always. The beautifull scenery,
welcoming
people, Xopilapa was a real experience and I would love
to go
back
to see how "our gardens" have progressed.
Big thanks
to Felipe, Elmer, Chucho,
Giovanni, Anna and the rest of the team. |

I was asked by a close friend, just recovering from cancer to walk 143 Km
to save her life and here I am in Mexico battling the weathers, tackling the
language barrier, I can honestly say I`ve had the exepience of my lifetime.
I have met people who have experienced and come through a life so
foreign
to my own, from those who have battled breast cancer to those living in
the
most remote areas in Mexico. I thank everyone involved in this experience,
which has made a difference to the 14 lives on this trek , plus hopefully to
many more with the moneys raised for breakthrough breast cancer |
